In the Waterford Premier League last night, Dungarvan United took the bragging rights in a local derby at Kilrush Park.

They saw off rivals Ballinroad 3-1 with the goals coming from Gary Donnelly, Shane Rochford and Joe Duggan.

Shane Kiely found the net for the Rams on 89 minutes - but it proved mere consolation.

Dungarvan move up to fourth, while Ballinroad remain bottom.

Dungarvan return to action on Saturday when they play host to Hibernians at 7pm.

Ballinroad will look to bounce back when they host Tycor at St. Laurence's Park this Sunday at 11 - while at the same time, Tramore are away to Portlaw United.

If Tramore drop points, Villa will win the Waterford Premier League title for the fourth year running.
