Former Waterford hurler and Deise camogie boss, Donal O’Rourke has reportedly joined the Cork senior hurling backroom team.

Pat Ryan recently replaced Kieran Kingston as Rebels manager, and its' believed that O'Rourke will be on the sidelines as well as much of Ryan's backroom team from Cork's back-to-back All-Ireland U-20 successes.

O'Rourke managed the Waterford camogie team to two successive All-Ireland quarter-final appearances in 2018 and 2019. The former Waterford goalkeeper also managed Erin's Own in 2020 when they reached the semi-finals of the Cork Premier Senior Hurling Championship.

He also coached Galway last year when they won the All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship but stepped away this year - with Galway having been unsuccessful in their title defence, succumbing to Kilkenny at the weekend.
