Waterford Camogie made the long journey to Ballymena to face Antrim today (Saturday) in Round 3 of  Division 1A of the National Camogie League. The visitors were hoping to follow up their first ever win over Galway at the Senior grade to maintain their 100% start to this years league campaign. They needed a win over the Saffrons and got off to the perfect start scoring 1-4 without reply after 15 mins to take control. A goal from captain Lorraine Bray after 6 minutes put the Déise team in a commanding position. Antrim responded however with 4 points in a row of their own and it took 2 points from Niamh Rockett and another from  Bray to settle the Waterford nerves as they took a well deserved 6  point lead into half time leading 1-7 to 4 points. Player of the match Gailltírs Laoise Forrest also split the posts in a dominant first half display. Waterford extended their lead in the second half with a spread of scores from Keeley Corbett Barry, Eimear O'Neill as well as Roisin Kirwan, Beth Carton and Lorraine Bray and despite a spirited resistance from Antrim, the Déise ran out convincing winners on a scoreline of 1-16 to 9 points.
