The Waterford footballers suffered a heartbreaking one point loss to Limerick in Martinstown last night.
Green flags from Gavin Crotty and Michael Curry left the visitors three points clear entering the closing minutes. Limerick levelled the match with a goal on 67 minutes before substitute Sean McSweeney kicked the winner in injury time.

Deise boss Tom McGlinchey rued some costly errors in the dying moments: "We started very poorly, we were down five points 15 minutes into the first half, so we got off to a terrible start. We got ourselves back into the game, then got ourselves into a position where we were leading by three points, but there were some unbelievable handling errors and we handed it back to Limerick and they capitalised and got the victory in the end."
He says that the focus is now on the Munster quarter final against Tipperary in May.
