Dessie Hutchinson has picked up another AIB GAA Club Player of the Year award. The awards ceremony was held last night (Friday) at Croke Park. The Ballygunner and Waterford forward is now a two-time Club Hurler of the Year having previously been honoured with the overall award for his exploits in 2022. Tom O'Sullivan, Siobhán Divilly and Lisa Casserly also picked up AIB GAA Club Player of the Year awards. Commenting on the Awards, AIB Chief Customer Officer, Orlaith Ryan said: “AIB is incredibly proud to celebrate the exceptional talent showcased across all four codes in this year's AIB Club Championships. Tonight, we honour not just individual brilliance, but the heart, dedication, and passion that Tom, Dessie, Siobhán, and Lisa, along with all the players on the Teams of the Year, bring to their clubs and communities. Congratulations to all our award winners – you are a credit to your sport.” Congratulating the winners, Uachtarán Cumann Lúthchleas Gael, Jarlath Burns, said: “I want to salute Dessie and Tom for all that they achieved with their clubs and for playing such an instrumental role in making this such a memorable AIB GAA Club Championship campaign. The standards on view in the All-Ireland club championship are incredibly high, and it takes players of real craft and intelligence to influence those big games. Dessie and Tom were exemplary and Ballygunner and Daingean Uí Chúis owe them a lot. I want to again thank AIB for assisting us in celebrating our outstanding Club Players through these awards.”
