The FAI will begin the recruitment process for a new Chief Executive Officer after an announcement that John Delaney is to step down.
He's been appointed to a new position within the organisation.
The Football Association of Ireland last night announced that John Delaney would be stepping down from his role as Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect.
He will now to take on the role of Executive Vice-President of the organisation.
The Board of the FAI says it's carried out a review of its senior management structure.
Chief Operating Officer, Rea Walsh, is moving to the role of Interim CEO.
The Board and says a recruitment process will start for a new Chief Executive.
The decision comes as controversy continues after it emerged John Delaney provided a 100,000 bridging loan to the FAI in 2017.
The FAI is scheduled to appear before the Oireachtas Committee on Transport Tourism and Sport next month.
