De La Salle are Waterford senior camogie champions for the third time.

They defeated old rivals Gailltir 3-9 to 0-13 in a thrilling final at the SETU Arena this afternoon – the fifth time in a row that the sides have met in the decider.

De La Salle led 2-4 to 0-7 at the break thanks to goals from Abby Flynn and Maggie Gostl.

Gailltir fought back to within two points but a 59th minute goal from Gostl secured a famous win for the Gracedieu side.

Six points from Beth Carton also proved crucial.
