Tramore’s Robin Dawson will be among the late starters for the first round of the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open at Mount Juliet which gets under way tomorrow.
Dawson has been paired with Sweden’s Niklas Lemke and Lars Van Meijel (Mayell) of the Netherlands for the opening two rounds of the tournament. He will start at 2.30pm.
Shane Lowry has been paired with recent tour winner Jonathan Caldwell from Bangor and Germany’s Martin Kaymer while Ryder Cup captain Padraig Harrington will have Thomas Detry of Germany and England’s Andy Sullivan as playing partners for the opening two rounds.
Meanwhile, tournament favourite Rory McIlroy will tee off at 1pm in the company of Tommy Fleetwood and defending champion John Catlin of the United States.
