Craig Breen has secured the best result of his career with a second place finish at Rally Sweden in the World Rally Championship.
Breen was 6th fastest in the final stage but had built up enough of a lead to finish 9 seconds ahead of Andreas Mikkelsen in 3rd, and 19 seconds behind winner Thierry Neuville (pron: NOY-VIL).
The Waterford man was 3rd in Finland two years ago and had five 5th place finishes last season, but had never finished in the top two until now.
It's the best ever result by a Republic of Ireland driver in a World Rally Championship event.
Speaking immediately after crossing the finish line, Breen was understandably thrilled with the week's work.
