With 10 minutes remaining in this game Passage trailed by 5 points with their title aspirations now in jeopardy.

However the Paul Carley managed side hit 1-8 without reply to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Waterford senior hurling championship.
Clonea now face an anxious wait to see who they must face to try retain their senior status.
Opening half goals from Thomas Connors and Mark Fitzgerald helped Passage lead 2-5 to 0-8 at halftime. County man Billy Power with all of Clonea’s first period scores.
Billy Power continued his scoring tour de force in the second half despite failing to convert a penalty on 49 minutes which was saved by Eddy Lynch. James Power did have a Clonea goal in the 50th minute but Passage responded superbly to dominate the closing stages and secure their qualification. Thomas Connors with the third Passage goal (and his second) on 56 minutes meant there was no way back for the Darragh Duggan managed Clonea
County player Ciaràn Kirwan saw red before the final whistle.
