Waterford boxer Kelyn Cassidy returns to the ring tomorrow as he aims to book himself a place at the Paris Olympics.
The Saviours Crystals light heavyweight advanced past the opening round on Monday, and tomorrow takes on Guatemalan Wyatt Trujillo.
In his curtain raiser, Cassidy was a unanimous decision winner over Michail Tsamalidis with every judge scoring in favour of the three-time Irish Senior Elite Champion.
His Central American opponent has only had seven amateur bouts to date, winning three and losing four having started his career just last year.
If Cassidy can see his way past Trujillo, the Ballybeg native will be left needing two more wins to book his ticket to Paris in July.
He's in the morning session on Friday, boxing in contest number eight. He is due in the ring at around midday Irish time.
