It's set to be a busy Thursday for Waterford teams as both the U-20 Hurlers and Minor footballer's are both in Provincial Championship action.

Following the postponement of yesterday's Round 3 clash in the Munster U-20 Hurling Championship due to a waterlogged pitch, Waterford's clash with Clare has been rescheduled for this evening (7pm throw-in in Fraher Field).

The game was pulled at lunch time yesterday with the re-fixture details confirmed by Munster council officials last evening. It's a must win game for the home side having lost their two games to date at the hands of Limerick and Cork.

Clare come to town with two points on the table following back to back draws against Tipperary and Limerick, they are unbeaten going into this one and know a win this evening could propel them into the knockout stages.

Meanwhile, the Electric Ireland Munster Minor football Championship commences this evening.

Phase One gets underway with Waterford hosting Clare in Leamybrien while Limerick welcome Tipperary to Rathkeale.

Waterford are without a Provincial Championship win at this grade since Clare were defeated in 2019.

Manager Michael Murphy from Fenor is hoping his charges can deliver a big performance this evening;

The action is underway at 7pm. Best of luck to both squads this evening. We'll have all the post-match reaction on our Sports bulletins tomorrow morning.
