It is a busy day of local sport across the Déise today. Camogie, Hurling, Football, and Rugby teams are all in action.

Déise Minor Camogie Team on the Road

Firstly, the Déise Ladies Minor camogie team travels to Limerick today. They face Limerick in the Munster Minor A Camogie Championship preliminary round.

The match takes place at Mungret St Paul’s, with a throw-in at 1 pm.
According to manager Kevin Barry, the focus is on development. He says the aim is to build for the future.

Two County Under-20 County Finals

Meanwhile, there are two county under-20 County finals down for decision today.

Up first, St Oliver’s play St Saviour’s in the JJ Kavanagh & Sons Under-20 B Football Final. The game takes place at Colligan GAA Pitch, with a throw-in at 1:30 pm.

Later in the day, attention turns to the Under-20 A Hurling Final. Ballygunner face Fourmilewater.

However, that match has been moved to SETU Arena, Carriganore.
The throw-in is now at 3 pm.

Waterpark Men Return After the Break

Elsewhere, the Waterpark men’s team returns to action after the festive break. They travel to Fethard this afternoon.

The game is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. Importantly, William Walsh’s side is chasing a strong start to the new year.

Currently, Waterpark sits fourth in the table.
With a win today, they would move above Youghal into third place.
