The Brickey Rangers are in Munster Intermediate Hurling Championship Quarter-Final action this afternoon when they take on Abbeydorney of Kerry at Fraher Field.
It's a huge occasion for the West Waterford club who were playing junior hurling as recently as 2020.
Manager Robert Shorthall spoke to WLR, and he says it promises to be a big occasion for all based at Bushy Park.

"It is a big day. It's kind of crept up on us. Obviously, when you're starting out the year,it's not necessarily something you think about.

Your ambition is always to try and do as well asyou can in your championship and in this case, try to get to that holy grail of senior hurling. The lads have done very well to do that. You start thinking about this thing then, there's a bit of excitement growing and we're all looking forward to the game on Sunday."

The Brickeys know they face a difficult challenge in the respect of Abbeydorney being the Kerry senior champions - despite them now playing at intermediate level in the provincial ranks.
"They seem like they're very convincing from what I've seen of them in their championship and their victory - they're senior champions so look, we'll be under no illusions as to the size of the challenge. That bit of support hopefully will help us and you'd certainly feel that playing at home as it were should be worth a point or two to us."
Throw in is at 1.15pm and we'll have live updates here on WLR with Jordan Norris.
