Waterford FC and Drogheda United shared the spoils in an entertaining affair at Sullivan And Lambe Park in the SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division.
John Coleman was forced into two changes with injuries to Finlay Armstrong and Darragh Leahy so Kyle Whyte and James Olayinka came into the starting line up.
Chances were few and far between for both sides with Owen Lambe having two efforts blocked while Waterford’s best chance came courtesy of a Conan Noonan rasper from the top of the penalty area but Luke Dennison dived to his left to palm it away.
Kyle Whyte timed a perfect block after Thomas Oluwa broke away and ran the length of the pitch before trying his shot and in the second half, a couple of chances came Waterford’s way with Jordan Rossiter curled effort easily gathered by Dennison and then a late flicked header from Padraig Amond was also held by the goalkeeper.
