The Blues brought down the curtain on the first half of the League Of Ireland Premier Division season, losing to Shelbourne at the RSC.

The squad have a break weekend coming their way before they return to competitive action in the Munster Senior Cup Final opposite Kerry on June 24th.

They find themselves fourth in the standings at the interval, with 31 points from a possible 60.

As the mid-season break arrives, the Blues have been rewarded for their efforts with two players named don't the "Team of the Year" at the Summer break.

Maleace Asamoah and Padraig Amond both make the grade, putting the Blues in joint second with Galway for most players included.

League leaders, Shels have four players - Will Jarvis, Mark Coyle, Gavin Molloy and Waterford's Paddy Barrett.

Pat Hoban and Will Patching are included for Derry City, while Brendan Clarke and Rob Slevin make the selection for Galway.

Johnny Kenny is the only player included from the defending champions Shamrock Rovers.

While Shels boss Damien Duff has been named manager of the season at the halfway point.
