Waterford FC got back to winning ways with a dramatic come from behind win to defeat Bohemians by three goals to two in a cracking SSE Airtricity Men's Premier Division game at Dalymount Park.

Keith Long made two changes with Barry Baggley returning for his first start since March and Connor Parsons also started with Dean McMenamy and Darragh Leahy dropping to the bench.

The Blues fell behind after just seven minutes when Adam McDonnell found Dale Rooney and he charged into the penalty area before unleashing an unstoppable shot beyond Louis Jones.

The home side doubled their lead on 37 minutes when Dawson Devoy scored after the Blues were opened up again.

The response from the Blues was excellent and they reduced the deficit within seconds of the second half restart as a Baggley cross was flicked on by Rowan McDonald and as McDonnell tried to clear it he put it into his own net.

The equaliser arrived courtesy of Darragh Power on 62 minutes when the Bohs defence failed to deal with another Baggley delivery and when it broke to Power he made no mistake.

There was still plenty of drama to come as Sam Glenfield fired the Blues in front nine minutes from time when his shot from the top of the area was buried into the bottom corner and Bohemians had a chance to level the game deep in injury time when James Clarke was fouled inside the area but Rooney fired his penalty against the crossbar.
