Seven games remain in the First Division for Waterford FC.

The Blues remain five points off Galway in second and tonight make the trip to Ferrycarrig Park to face Wexford.

Three wins from their last four outings have spelled a positive note for Danny Searle's side who are readying themselves for a promotion play-off, but the manager says that while they hope for promotion, the focus must be on Wexford first.

"The process has to remain the same. That has been our consistent message since I walked through the door. If I start changing now, that gives license to other people to start changing their thought processes as well. The only thing that matters for Waterford football club is Wexford tonight. When Wexford is done, we will deal with that then, but at the minute everything is based around Wexford."

Searle may not say it, but Wexford provides a clear opportunity for another three-point result. Ian Ryan's team have flattered to deceive in recent weeks, failing to pick up a clean sheet in 13 games. The Blues potent strike force should be rightly licking their lips at the chance of sticking the ball to the back of the net, and every point will count as the end of the season approaches.
