The Waterford camogie team enjoyed a 3-24 to 2-6 win over Limerick at Gracedieu this afternoon in Division 1B.

Three-time All Star Beth Carton led the way with ten points (seven from play), substitute Abby Flynn netted two second half goals and dual star Annie Fitzgerald scored 1-3. Niamh Rockett also caught the eye with five points (four from play) while Mairead O'Brien put over three from play. Captain Lorraine Bray had another busy afternoon at midfield while Orla Hickey impressed in defence. Three league wins out of three for Sean Power's side ahead of a long trip to Antrim next weekend.

Six Carton points gave Waterford a 0-15 to 1-3 half time advantage. In the eighth minute, Limerick full forward Claire Keating burst through to the Déise defence and rattled the bottom corner of the net (1-1 to 0-2). The home side responded with five unanswered points. Niamh Rockett hit back to back efforts in the ninth minute. Mairead O'Brien put them in front before Carton struck two.

Keating converted a free on 20 minutes but Limerick couldn't handle Waterford's slick passing and movement. Three in a row from Carton sent the hosts six clear. Keating then crashed a 45 off the crossbar and the rebound flew wide. Mairead Ryan got one back for the Shannonsiders but Waterford finished the half with injury time points from Keeley Corbett Barry, Carton and Rockett.

The home side found the net three times in five second half minutes. Abby Flynn set up Annie Fitzgerald who whipped to the net on 45 minutes. Fitzgerald then turned provider for Flynn who blasted home. Cliodhna Ryan netted for Limerick at the other end but Flynn replied straight away with her second major.

Carton hit her tenth point before she was replaced on 53 minutes. Sean Power brought on eight subs as the Déise eased to a 21 point victory.
