De La Salle camogie star Beth Carton has done the double.

She's claimed the overall WLR/Granville Hotel GAA Award for the second year in a row.

Twelve monthly winners were vying for the accolade which was presented by special guest, Mary O' Connor, CEO of the Federation of Irish Sport, at last night's Gala Dinner in the Granville Hotel.

Beth says she wasn't expecting to win and paid tribute to her teammates:

"Absolutely shocked, definitely wasn't expecting it. I was nearly in my own world when the winner was announced. It's great for my family, I suppose, and the club. And the girls I've been training with all year; they're the ones that you put in the hard slog with, the ones that pick you up when you're down, and are there for the good times too. Truly, this is dedicated to all the girls that are at home tonight but truly deserve this."
