The Blues latest signing trained for the first-time on Thursday morning during the pre-season trip to sister-club Fleetwood Town. He was delighted to be back as a Blue for the season ahead:
“I’m buzzing to be back Waterford as it was somewhere where I really enjoyed playing my football last year", he told WaterfordFC.ie.
We had that success of getting promoted so I’m looking to get back and build on that this year.
“It was an easy decision; I know what I’m going back in to. I love all the boys, and I love playing there. The fans are great, and it’s going to be a good challenge this year in the Premier Division.”

“It was no secret of our desire to bring Barry back to the club. He was fantastic for us last year; a real important member of our squad. We’re absolutely delighted to get him back to Waterford.
“I think all our supporters will be happy. Obviously it’s a step-up in the Premier Division this year, but we’re going to need the players like Barry. The quality that he brings to the team in our dressing room.
