Thomas Barr has not qualified for the final of the 400 metre hurdles at the European Athletics Championships in Munich, Germany.
The Ferrybank AC man was in action in semi-final one at 10.25am Irish time, running from lane 8 and coming home in third place in a time of 49.30 seconds.
That was Barr's second fastest time of the current campaign.
Barr was forced to wait in hope of having one of the fastest losing qualifying times as the other two semi-finals were to follow.
However, Belgium's Julien Watrin and Switzerland's Julien Bonvin both finished faster than Barr which ruled him out of the top eight times.
Barr will not run in tomorrow's final at 9pm Irish time where he had hopes of a similar achievement to that of 2018 - when he took home a bronze medal at continental level.
