Ballygunner will begin their bid for six county hurling titles in a row with a first round tie against 2018 intermediate champions Clonea on the last weekend in March. The Gunners are currently preparing for the All Ireland club semi final against Ballyhale Shamrocks on February 9.
Beaten finalists Abbeyside open their campaign against Fourmilewater. Eastern rivals Roanmore and Mount Sion will face off in another standout match from round one. The top team from each group and the highest ranked second placed team will progress to the quarter finals while the other eight teams will enter the play-offs.
Round two will be staged on the weekend of April 7.
