Ballygunner manager Darragh O'Sullivan has vowed that they will bounce back following their Munster final loss yesterday.

The Gunners dreams of four in a row were left for dust as Cork side Sarsfields produced an outstanding display to win 3-20 to 2-19.

Substitute Shane O'Regan fired 2-3 from the bench as the Sars won their first ever Munster crown.

O'Sullivan says there are still brighter days ahead for Ballygunner and Waterford hurling.

"You look at that group that's in there and you look at the young lads that are on the sideline - you see the age profile of the young lads that are on the sideline, you look at the age profile of the lads that are coming out of minor - we're going to be dancing at the top table for a long time to come. We're going to be there, we're going to be at the top of Waterford hurling, trying to win some championships, and if we get out of it, we'll be very competitive with Munster, as any other team would be. In the past, people have degraded the Waterford Championship a bit, and said that we've got things soft. We don't get things soft in Waterford Hurling, we don't, absolutely not. I think if any of the other top teams got out of Waterford, they would be challenging for Munster titles as well."
