Half of this year’s line up for the Waterford Senior Hurling Championship semi finals has been decided.

Reigning champions Ballygunner continued their march towards another county crown with a comprehensive 2-27 to 2-09 victory over Passage at Walsh Park yesterday afternoon.

Harry Ruddle and Patrick Fitzgerald raised green flags for the twelve in a row chasing Gunners. Thomas Carey netted twice for Passage.

Mount Sion rounded off yesterday’s double header as they just edged past Clonea in a nail biter at Walsh Park, coming out the better on a scoreline of 0-28 to 2-21.

A sideline cut from Austin Gleeson sent the Monastery side through to the last four.

The final four line up will be concluded this afternoon as Lismore face De La Salle at 2pm.

That fixture is followed at Walsh Park by the meeting of Roanmore and Fourmilewater at 3.45.

Meanwhile, in the relegation play offs, Dungarvan defeated the Brickey Rangers 1-21 to 0-21.

Ferrybank meet Abbeyside-Ballinacourty in Lemybrien at 2pm in the second of this weekend’s relegation playoffs.
