Ardmore booked their place in a first ever All-Ireland Junior hurling Final after a 4-12 to 0-13 victory over Setanta from Donegal in this afternoon's re-fixed semi-final at Páirc Tailteann, Navan.
The Waterford champions were given a stern test from the Donegal and Ulster champions who display some fine skill throughout but Ardmore gave a workmanlike performance to seal an All-Ireland Final ticket.
Playing with wind advantage in the opening period, Ardmore struck two goals near the end of the first half per James Flavin and Seamus Prendergast to lead by 2-8 to 0-5 at the change of ends.
Setanta battled well in the second half but Ardmore defended well with the Hennessey brothers, Niall and Richie, along with Declan Prendergast and goalkeeper James O' Donnell dealing with everything that came their way.
James Flavin netted his second goal, while David Gartland raised another green flag as Ardmore recorded a famous win at the Meath venue.
They can now look forward to a real historic occasion next weekend in Croke Park, where Wexford side Fethard On See will provide the opposition at GAA Headquarters, and that's a game we'll be bringing to you live next weekend on WLR, all thanks to George Corbett Skoda.
