Waterford coach Dan Shanahan expects a tough test from Antrim in Sunday's Division 1B clash at Corrigan Park.

Davy Fitzgerald's side suffered a heavy loss to Offaly two weeks ago but Shanahan says that the Saffrons are dangerous on home turf.

"It will be a different game altogether, trust me when I say that. I was up there two or three years ago, Waterford won the game in the end. Antrim missed a penalty in the last minute to get a result that day. If we're not prepared and not willing to work harder than Antrim, we know what's going to happen. It happened against Carlow. We have to go up there with the right frame of mind against a good, hard, physical Antrim team. Any team that goes up there has to earn their victory."

He admitted that the opening day defeat to Carlow hit them hard. "Just because you're Waterford, doesn't give you the right to go up to Carlow and expect to win.  You have to earn the results up there and we didn't on the day. We hurt. When we hurt, we all hurt together. When we win, we win together. It has to hurt when you lose. There's no point playing this sport if you're happy losing."

The Lismore legend is thrilled to be back involved with the Déise seniors. "A pleasure. I had to make a big decision to leave the 20s and Ken (McGrath). It was a hard phone call to make. You're training the elite. I'm delighted to be back; I'm a proud Waterford man. To be back training the best players in Waterford, it's an honour for me."

Antrim versus Waterford will be our George Corbett Mazda Big Match on Sunday.
