Waterford FC have announced the signing of former Republic of Ireland and Dundalk defender Andy Boyle for 2025.
33 year old Boyle is no stranger to League of Ireland fans, having two lengthy spells with Dundalk FC either side of move abroad to the UK where he plied his trade in England & Scotland.
Boyle began his career at Crumlin United before making the move to UCD & then Shelbourne, before signing for Dundalk in 2013 where he played a pivotal role in one of the most successful League of Ireland sides in recent years.
Meanwhile, Ben McCormack has signed a new deal with the Blues to keep the attacking midfielder at the RSC for 2025. McCormack has a wealth of experience having made 105 senior appearances for St Patricks Athletic before joining the Blues last season where he had 33 appearances and four goals in all competitions.
This follows the news that Darragh Leahy has also opted to extend his stay at the RSC for next season in what has been a good week for the Blues.
