An Rinn lifted the JJ Kavanagh and Sons intermediate hurling championship title at Walsh Park on Saturday afternoon.
The Gaeltacht side lifted the trophy after a hard fought 2-15 to 2-14 victory over Roanmore.
An Rinn defeated Ballyduff Upper in the western final to reach this year’s decider while Roanmore adavnced past St Molleran’s in the east.
Sean Roche struck an early goal for the city club, giving his side a 1-02 to 0-01 lead after just three minutes.
However, Conaire Ó Síocháin struck back for the West Waterford club to bring them back to within a point at Walsh Park.
Both sides continued to exchange scores before the half time whistle blew with Roanmore ahead by 1-09 to 1-06 at the break.
In contrast to the first half, it was An Rinn who made the better start in the second period as Donaí Breathnach raised a green flag for the blue and gold within five minutes of the restart.
The two teams reverted back to the swapping of singular scores until Sean Roche doubled his goal tally for the day to make for a nervy finish.
However, the late goal proved to be the final score of the game as An Rinn hoisted the JJ Kavanagh and Sons intermediate hurling title for 2025.
