Waterford FC player Romeo Akachukwu has been named in the Republic Of Ireland U19 squad for two international friendlies.
Head Coach Tom Mohan has named his 22-man squad, for the doubleheader with Slovakia.
Both games are in Slovakia, with the first coming up on Saturday before they meet again on Tuesday.
Akachukwu is the only Waterford player to make the selection as Mohan prepares for the upcoming U19 Euros Qualifiers.
The midfielder was crucial to Waterford FC's promotion campaign last season. He scored a hattrick for the ages against Athlone Town in the First Division playoffs, coming off the bench in the second half to send the Blues fans at the RSC into ecstacy.
He has scored three times for Ireland at underage level, too. His strike against Wales U19s last year was one that will have made a lot of people aware of what he is capable of.
