Munster will look to claim their second Champions Cup win of the season when they take on Saracens at Thomond Park on Saturday evening.
They started their European campaign with victory against Stade Francais before losing out to Castres last time out.
Waterford's Tom Ahern signed a contract extension with the province earlier this week.
He's looking to bounce back from injury and get a run of games under his belt.
"Yeah, I'm getting there. Obviously, it wasn't the most ideal start to the season but the only thing that kind of gets you up to speed is a good run of games and I've kind of had that now in the last few weeks and hopefully, touch wood, it continues and I can continue improving around all aspects of my game, my fitness and just everything in the match."
Ahern knows Saracens will post a tough test but is relishing the challenge.
"I'm looking forward to it. It's like what I remember when I was younger, they're always niggly games. Saracens are a hugely competitive team, a successful team and I think when you have two teams that kind of like to have a bite off each other, there's always been a niggle in the game but honestly, I'm looking forward to the challenge that we have on Saturday."
Action gets underway at 5:30pm.
