The Chairman of the Waterford County Board is urging the Déise supporters to get behind the team and management ahead of Sunday's do or die battle in Walsh Park.

All-Ireland champions, Limerick come to town for a vital clash in the Munster Senior hurling Championship where the home need need a win to keep their Championship aspirations alive.

Paddy Joe Ryan is hoping for a large home support on Sunday.

Speaking to WLR Sport, Paddy Joe says it's a huge game for both counties.

Tom Ryan who managed Limerick to Munster Senior Hurling championships in 1993 and 1996 belives that Waterford can come out on top against his native county on Sunday in Walsh Park.

Tom says that the Waterford team have the talent to upset the All-Ireland champions.

Tom Ryan the former Limerick manager says losing to Cork in their opening Munster Championship game was a major setback and he believes that Waterford can take advantage of that outcome when they host the Shannonsiders in Walsh Park on Sunday.
