Waterford hurlers will be hoping to maintain their fine start to life in Division 1(B) of the Allianz National League as South-East neighbours Carlow visit Fraher Field this evening.

Waterford recorded huge wins over Offaly and Laois in the opening two rounds, scoring 6-50 in the process.

Colm Bonnar's Carlow are expected to come with a big challenge this evening, following their impressive draw with Galway last time out.

Austin Gleeson, Jamie Barron and Colin Dunford get their first starts of the campaign while Michael Walsh and Shane Bennett are also back in the Deise line-up.

Déise manager Paraic Fanning is looking forward to Waterford's first home match in league or championship since March 2018.

Carlow boss Colm Bonnar is hoping his side can build on their performance against last years All-Ireland finalists.

A big crowd is expected at the Dungarvan venue, and Co. Board Chairman Paddy Joe Ryan is encouraging supporters to arrive in good time.

Throw-in is at 7pm, and WLR will bring you all the action live thanks to George Corbett Skoda, with commentary team Kieran O' Connor and Stephen Frampton.

Elsewhere in Division 1(B) this evening, Midlands rivals Laois and Offaly clash in Portlaoise in Division One B with both sides winless in their openig matches.

In the top flight, Cork host Clare, looking for their first win of the season, both those games also get underway at 7pm.
