Despite taking a two goal lead inside the opening 8 minutes an extremely young Waterford FC team made their exit from the Munster Senior Cup in St Coleman's Park last night. Dean Walsh put the Blues in front after 4 minutes and John Martin doubled their advantage four minutes later.
Stephen Kenny pulled a goal back for Cobh Ramblers on 22 minutes and Cian Leonard equalised 5 minutes before the break.
Ian Turner, who was playing his first game for Ramblers since signing from St Patrick's Athletic scored what proved to be the winning goal on 71 minutes.
A number of local players, including Cameron Power and Regix Medika made their first team debuts for Waterford in the game

Meanwhile, in the cross channel action, Pep Guardiola is relieved Manchester City secured their place in the League Cup final without suffering any injuries last night.
Guardiola branded Burton Albion's pitch "dangerous" after City won 1-nil at the Pirelli Stadium, but 10-nil on aggregate.
The City manager denies they went easy on their League One opponents.
City will now meet the winner of tonight's semi-final between Chelsea and Tottenham at Stamford Bridge.
