Huge crowd expected as the Local Bar sponsored Waterford GAA Awards go ahead tonight in Dungarvan

The Waterford GAA Awards Banquet, sponsored by the Local Bar takes centre stage in Lawlor's Hotel, Dungarvan this evening.

Just under 300 people are attending, and it's set to be a great occasion as we look back at the 2018 GAA season, and the awards committee under the stewardship of Brendan Tobin of Sliabh gCua / St. Mary's have put in huge work over the last number of weeks.

The various winners and nominees full-list is as follows:

Jack Furlong Award: Michael & Breda Clancy (Ballysaggart)

Seamus O’ Brien Award: Jack Laffan (Portlaw)

Cultural Award: Moll Shields (Abbeyside/Ballinacourty)

Special Achievement Award: Thomas Keane (Sliabh gCua / St. Mary’s)

Special Schools Award: St. Declan’s, Kilmacthomas

Special Achievement to Development: St. Molleran’s

Special Achievement to officiating: Pat Power (Fourmilewater)

Special Achievment: Ardmore - on winning the All-Ireland Junior club hurling Championship

Adult Footballer of the year nominee’s: Stephen Enright (Ballinacourty), Tommy Prendergast (Kilrossanty), Dylan Guiry (The Nire), Thomas O’ Gorman (The Nire)

Adult Hurler of the year nominees: Conor Prunty (Abbeyside), Philip Mahony (Ballygunner), Pauric Mahony (Ballygunner), Tommy Ryan (Tallow)
