De La Salle College Waterford will be seeking a place in the last four of the Harty Cup this afternoon as they take on Cork outfit St. Colman's, Fermoy
The Waterford school recorded a win over St. Flannan's and drew with Midleton to qualify for the Quarter-Final stages
St. Colman's come with a big tradition, and De La Salle manager Dermot Dooley is well aware of the challenge they face
Dermot told WLR Sport they'll have to bring a big performance to challenge the Cork side and he is hoping for plenty of local support this afternoon
Throw-in in Fraher Field is at 1:30pm, and Tomás McCarthy will have updates here on WLR
St Colman’s Fermoy topped their group, recording victories over Nenagh CBS, Ardscoil Rís, and Gaelcholáiste Mhuire an Mhainistir Thuaidh. Six points was as close as any team came to them in the group stages, with their average winning margin standing at nine points.
St Colman’s hold the distinction of being the last Cork school to win the Harty Cup, back in 2003.
David Lardner and the Roche brothers from Bride Rovers, Eoin and Brian, both of whom were on the 2017 Cork minor team which reached the All-Ireland final, will spearhead their challenge against De La Salle College, Waterford
