Waterford have selected corner back Noel Connors as their hurling captain for the 2019 season.
Kevin Moran has skippered the Déise over the past couple of seasons.
New manager Padraic Fanning has opted for the 28-year-old Connors however, with Pauric Mahony and Tadhg de Burca appointed vice captains.
Passage clubman, Connors, made his senior debut in 2009 and won an All-Star at corner back in 2017 as the Déise lost out to Galway in the All-Ireland Final.
Waterford play their first competitive game of the new season tomorrow evening as they travel to Mallow to take on Cork in the Munster Senior hurling League.
We are delighted to announce that @NoelieConnors will captain the Waterford Senior Hurlers in 2019 with @PauricMahony and @TadhgBourke as Joint Vice Captains! Well done! #DeiseAbu pic.twitter.com/Nje8NstWSn
