Ballinameela boss Brian Beatty spoke to Gavin ahead of their Munster Junior club hurling Championship Final against Cork champions, Cloughduv in Mallow tomorrow afternoon, it's the sixth year in a row that a Waterford club has appeared on this day and the Western outfit will be hoping to emulate previous wins by Ardmore (last year), Modeligo and Ballysaggart.
James Veale of West Waterford AC also joined us to look back at a fantastic day for Waterford athletics at the National senior awards ceremony in Dublin last Thursday, Thomas Barr was named athlete of the year, Joe Gough claimed the masters athlete of the year, while West Waterford AC were awarded the best club development award.
