Johnny Troy has been appointed as the new Waterford ladies football manager. The Stradbally clubman succeeds Pat Sullivan who stepped down in August after four years in charge.
He led the Waterford minors to the Munster B title in May and guided the under 16s to All Ireland B glory in 2017.
The Deise start their Division 2 campaign on February 2 with a home match against Wexford.
Meanwhile, there was great success for WIT Vikings teams last night.
The WIT camogie team were crowned Division 1 league champions last night as a strong second half display gave them a 2-13 to 1-10 victory against UL.
Waterford seniors Brianna O'Regan, Iona Heffernan and Shauna Fitzgerald all featured for WIT while Beth Carton scored 1-8 for UL.
Meanwhile, the WIT footballers defeated Kerry College of Further Education by 3-20 to 2-14 in the Division 4 league decider.
