In front of a capacity attendance in the Mercy Hall last night the Waterford Wildcats defeated the Super Women's Basketball Super League favourites DCU 65-53.
Cath Kavanagh and Jazmen Walker led the charge with 12 points apiece.
Sinead Deegan, Helena Rohan chipped in with nine points. General Manager John Hayes described the win as the "greatest for the Cats for many year's"

Meanwhile, in the Men's National League (Division 1) WIT Vikings suffered defeat to LIT in Limerick last night, after a good first half performance a poor third quarter saw them 8 points down 59 to 51.
Try as they did in the final period they could not bring the lead back going down in the end 0n a scoreline of 79 to 68.
