Waterford FC have dropped back to third place on the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division table.

It's after a 1-0 loss away to Derry City last night.

The Candystripes maintained their 100% record at the Brandywell thanks to a second-half header from Jack Doyle. The home side also gained revenge for their 2-1 defeat at the RSC in the opening game of the season.

Central defender Kenny Browne missed the game due to a rib injury. He is expected to be fit for Monday's game away to St Patrick's Athletic.

While Bohemians secured a 2 - 1 victory away to Shamrock Rovers.
