De La Salle made it back to back wins in the senior hurling championship as they rallied from seven points down to overcome Tallow 0-14 to 1-8 in this afternoon's opener in Fraher Field.
Heavy underfoot conditions made it difficult for players in both games.
Tallow dominated the opening quarter and raced into a 1-5 to 0-1 lead with the goal coming from Tommy Daly.
The Bridesiders lead by 1-5 to 0-3 at the change of ends.
Salle outscored their opponents ten points to three in the second half. Shane Ryan sent over seven frees and Cormac McCann scored three from play for the Gracedieu outfit.
Owen Dunphy praised the character shown by his charges in difficult conditions.

In the second game, Roanmore emerged victorious against Lismore for the second year in a row at a muddy Fraher Field this afternoon.
Full forward Emmet O'Toole fired home two goals and substitute Daniel Murphy added a third as the Sky Blues recorded a 3-14 to 0-16 win.
Manager Laurence O'Neill said that O'Toole's first goal gave them confidence.
Laurence says they showed great character to get the win.
All four teams in Group C are on two points heading into the final round later in the year. O'Neill says that it's an evenly matched championship.
The final game of the weekend throw's-in at 7pm in Fraher Field where champions Ballygunner take on newly promoted An Rinn.
