The County Senior Hurling Championship continues this afternoon with Fraher Field playing host to a double header.

This year’s format consists of three groups of four with all teams reaching the knockout stages.

At 2pm it’s Lismore against Passage, two sides who reached the semi-final stages last season.

The teams played out a thrilling group game last year with Lismore scoring six goals to snatch an incredible victory.

Defending champions Ballygunner begin their quest for five straight title when they face Abbeyside at 3:30pm.

Last night Patrick Curran claimed 1-11 as Dungarvan cruised past Tallow 3-20 to 2-13 in Cappoquin.
Stephen Roche grabbed an injury time winner as Mount Sion snuck past Roanmore 2-12 to 1-14 at Walsh Park. Sion captain Austin Gleeson came off with a hamstring injury after fourteen minutes.
Goals from Shane and Michael Kearney gave fourteen man Ballyduff Upper a 2-16 to 0-18 win over An Rinn.
Last year’s beaten finalists De La Salle ran out 4-17 to 1-15 winners against Fourmilewater in the curtain raiser at Fraher Field yesterday.
