The Waterford county board have requested to play their two home Munster championship matches outside of Walsh Park.

Ticketing concerns raised by clubs have forced the board to seek an alternative venue.

Speaking to Tomás McCarthy in Dungarvan last night, chairman Paddy Joe Ryan explained that discussions are ongoing to determine where Waterford will play Tipperary and Cork this summer.

Waterford will play Clare in the final round of Division 1A of the National hurling league this Sunday at Walsh Park.

The game fell victim of the adverse weather conditions last weekend.

Waterford and Clare will meet in the Munster Championship on May 27th.

Déise trainer Fergal O' Brien says Sunday will be another tough test against a good Clare outfit.

Clare are already qualified for the Quarter-Final stages of the league and Fergal O' Brien says they will hard to beat, whatever team they put out.
