Waterford FC won their first pre-season game on Tuesday when they defeated AFC Tramore at a bitterly cold and sleet lashed Graun Park.
DeanWalsh scored the only goal of the game with a spectacular over-head kick following super work by Gavan Holohan and a superb right wing cross from Rory Feely.
Manager Alan Reynolds said he was happy with the display considering his players had trained hard all day on Monday.
He also said he was delighted to have secured John Kavanagh from Cork City on loan.
