Ardmore were crowned Munster Club Junior hurling champions for the first time yesterday as they saw off Tipperary champions Ballybacon-Grange in a game that was full of talking points in Mallow.
Despite finishing with 12 men, the Waterford champions showed tremendous character to grind out a hard fought win.
Ardmore held a 1-17 to 1-16 lead ath half-time but started the second period with 13 men following the first half dismisals of Wayne Hennessey and Jack Walsh.

Seamus Prendergast (who was later sent off on two yellow cards) and David Gartland netted goals to see Ardmore claim a famous win on a 3-11 to 2-8 scoreline.
