Waterford is set to welcome over 200 top Irish tennis players for the 33rd Irish National Seniors (Veterans) Close Championships being hosted at St. Anne’s Tennis Club from Today (Friday)
With the country’s finest over 35s players taking part in the number one national seniors
event, it promises to be a fabulous weekend of top level sport with three days of competitive action culminating in Finals Day on Sunday 1st October.
Being the first time the Championships are hosted outside of Dublin in its long established history, all spectators are most welcome, with free entry open to everyone at the John’s Hill located club.
First serve is from 1pm this afternoon with matches scheduled on all nine courts throughout the weekend with 9am starts for Saturday and Sunday
