Stradbally advanced to the semi finals of the county senior football championship after a thrilling 2-15 to 2-11 victory over arch rivals The Nire at Fraher Field last night.
Ger Crowley and Paul Tobin goaled in either half for the Reds and Michael Walsh kicked two points from midfield.
Conor Gleeson and Tholm Guiry grabbed second half goals for The Nire but Stradbally finished strongly to make the last four.

In the curtain raiser, Rathgormack cruised into round four with a 4-19 to 0-12 win against Clashmore. Jason Gleeson, Billy Power and Stephen Curry all found the net and manager Ger Power was delighted with their efforts
