Holders Liverpool are out of the Champions League.

The second leg of their Last 16 tie with Atlético Madrid at Anfield last night went to extra time after finishing up 1-all on aggregate.

The hosts then had the perfect start to the added time with Roberto Firmino scoring his first home goal of the season early on.

Marcos Llorente though found the back of the net twice for the visitors as did former Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata to dump Jurgen Klopp's side out 4-2.

Klopp says he can't fault his side's efforts; "They did exceptionally well, we played exactly in the spaces we have to play, I loved the football we played, I loved how we used our triangles, squares on left and right side, how we passed the ball and we came to our finishes".

Elsewhere, PSG beat Borussia Dortmund 2-nil in Paris so the French side progress 3-2.

EUROPA LEAGUE TAKES FOCUS TONIGHT... 

Tonight Manchester United are away to Austrian side LASK in the first leg of their last 16 Europa League tie.

The game, which kicks off at 5-to 6 is to be played behind closed doors due to Coronavirus fears.

Wolves' away game to Greek side Olympiacos will also be in an empty stadium when it kicks-off at 8-o'clock.
