Limerick are through to the NHL semi finals as they maintained their one hundred per cent record with a 1-21 to 1-17 victory over Waterford at the LIT Gaelic Grounds tonight. Man of the match Gearoid Hegarty was top scorer with 1-5 from play for John Kiely's men, free taker Aaron Gillane got seven points while Graeme Mulcahy mustered four.

Despite suffering their second defeat, Liam Cahill's side are still through to the quarter finals against Kilkenny or Wexford next weekend.

Waterford trailed 1-8 to 0-7 at the break. Hegarty goaled on 28 minutes for the Treaty men as Mulcahy sent over three points. Pauric Mahony knocked over six frees while Jamie Barron was on target from play.

Gillane, Mulcahy, Hegarty and Paddy O'Loughlin moved Limerick eight points up in the second period (1-16 to 0-11). On 58 minutes, Déise sub Jack Fagan buried the ball in the roof of the net. The hosts replied with points by Hegarty and Gillane.
